There are approximately 30 million small businesses in the United States, and this number is growing every day. However, only about 50 percent of these business will make it past the five-year mark.

If you want to make sure your business is part of the successful ones, then it’s a smart idea to utilize LinkedIn and help evolve and enhance your business.

LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network. On this platform, you can produce sales, generate leads and hire the top professionals in your industry to help fuel the growth of your company. Here are some more examples of how you can use LinkedIn to help your small business succeed.

Create a Company Page

Members on LinkedIn are up to 50 percent more likely to buy after they have engaged with your business on the platform. However, if they aren’t able to connect with you, because you don’t have a Company Page on the platform, then your chances of “closing the deal” are reduced significantly.

Now’s the time to create a Company Page. A personal profile doesn’t offer the same advertising, marketing and recruiting features that Company Pages do – so take advantage of this.

Share Content Frequently

The more you post on LinkedIn, the more likely you will be to reach and convert new customers. The top LinkedIn Company Pages are the ones that are updated regularly to ensure that visitors have new content to read and share with others. A good way to start is by posting once a week. After this, you can up the amount to whatever you can handle.

Keep in mind, there’s no such thing as too much content as long as you are providing informative resources that people will actually be excited to read.

Find Sales Prospects

There are more than 500 million users on LinkedIn. While this may seem like a lot to sort through, LinkedIn has tools to help you find the best audience. Use this to find people who may be interested in what you offer.

You shouldn’t ignore the benefits offered by LinkedIn for your small business.
