Once you have created a website, you may think your work is done. After all, you have established your web presence. However, this isn’t the case. The next step is to create amazing content to engage and delight your visitors and readers.

If you are ready to start creating killer content, the first thing you have to do is learn about the different types of content you can create. Keep reading to learn more about the types of content for your website.

Long Form Content

Long form content is just as the name implies – an in-depth look into a product, service, idea or some other concept. This type of content is great for someone who is trying to make a decision about a product or are looking for all the details and features that the product or service offers. In most cases, long-form content will be 2,000 words or more.

Short Blogs

Short blogs are a great way to quickly go over a product, service or particular topics. These blog posts usually have

headers, bullets, lists and other features that make them easy to scan. Considered “quick reads” these bits of content are great for peaking someone’s interest about what you have to offer. Be sure you have a long form content to go with your short blogs so if someone is interested, they can learn more.

Downloadable White Papers

A downloadable white paper is typically full of statistical information, scientific studies and other information that proves to be true what you are saying or claiming. These usually require a person to insert their email or contact information to gain access to the paper. This is great because you can also capture a lead when someone downloads the content.

Infographics

This type of content has become extremely popular in recent years. Infographics offer fast, easily-customizable content and present a fun and engaging way to tell a story in a visual manner. You can easily share important statistics on services and products, along with how they work. You can also use these to illustrate a concept or a trend that is hard to photograph or to explain with words. An added bonus of using infographics is that they are perfect for sharing on social media.

If you have a website, you should try to create each of the types of content featured here. This will help ensure that you engage and inform your readers and keep them coming back.
