Social Media Vs. Real Life: How are You Branding Your Company?

There are many articles out there that tell you how important it is to have a social media presence for your business because it allows you to interact with your customers and build your brand which increases sales and your bottom line.

But what if you’ve been trying to have a social media presence and it’s just not working?  One reason could be that you’re social media profile and posts do not adequately represent your business, who you are, your values, what you do, and what you have accomplished. If your social media page(s) is inconsistent with your company’s beliefs, values, and other key factors, such as what interests your customers, you will find it difficult to build your brand and have a loyal following.

How to Keep Your Social Media Message Consistent

To keep your social media message consistent there are some general areas to look at. For starters, when it comes to design it’s important to adhere to this rule. For example, stick with the same colors for your logo and layouts.  This creates uniformity and a visual image of your brand.  Your text should also have the same tone throughout your social media platforms.  When it comes to your company’s actual message, never promote conflicting messages that will leave your customers confused.  Finally, don’t keep posting the same things over and over.  Instead keep things consistently varied.  Get creative. Don’t always try to sell.  Instead, educate and engage to build loyal followers.
