What Page of Google am I on?
You are here: Home \ Online Marketing Strategy \ Advertising and Social Platforms \ Bing \ What Page of Google am I on?

Chances are, you have used the phrase “just Google it” a time or two. Google is searched more than 3.5 billion times each day. Over two-thirds of buyers use a google search when making a decision of what to buy. If you aren’t showing up on the first page of Google, you are losing business.

Some people think that creating a website is enough – while that is an important step, just having a website doesn’t mean you’re going to show up in search results. You have to adopt and use the principles of search engine optimization (SEO) to rank on Google.

If you want to ensure you show up in Google searches for targeted keywords, take the following steps:

Step 1: Determine your existing rank.

There are countless free tools that can instantly tell you where your page ranks for certain keywords. Use these tools as your starting point. Unfortunately, if you aren’t showing up on the first page, you have work to do. After all, few searchers are going to venture past the first page of Google results.

Step 2: Conduct an SEO audit.

This phrase may sound somewhat intimidating, but it is actually a simple process. You simply need to figure out where you can improve your SEO. Have you been targeting the right long-tail keywords? Are you creating headlines and metas that include the keyword? There are several steps to an SEO audit that aim to rank your site on the first page of Google.

Step 3: Take the necessary steps to improve your SEO and rank.

Once you have determined your current rank in Google and conducted an SEO audit, now is the time to begin making changes to improve your position. Some things you can do include:

· Find and use long-tail keywords related to your business.
· Create and optimize all content posted for SEO.
· Invest some time to build quality links.
· Guest post on quality blogs.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter how good your efforts are, you won’t see results overnight. However, if you keep it up, you can feel confident that your page is going to move into one of the top spots on Google and all that hard work will reap the rewards.
